Goats are Herd Animals
Goats can live without another goat, but they will instinctively try to find a herd. So, if they don’t have another goat to be a herd with, they will find a dog, horse, human, anything to make a herd. Without another goat they will get in more trouble (if that is possible). Goats are extremely intelligent and will create a herd from what they have but they in return can be noisy, messy, and extra trouble without the proper herd. I always tell people that come to my farm to get goats in 2’s or just have two goats.
